We have all started jobs at new companies. I believe we have all felt that sense of uncertainty during the 1st couple of weeks or months on the job. We Start with Those Questions to Self: Self, did I make the right decision? What was I thinking? In many cases, the person who held the job previously left behind a huge mess that brings you back to the feeling you had when you stepped into dog poop. I’m sure we have all tried to wipe our shoes on the grass without real success. You have to continue with your day smelling dog poop, and you hope no one else notices. Well, when I started working with my logistics customer, Barry, he felt the same way about his new role as operations manager at an apparel company in California. Barry was up to his eyeballs in dog poop, due to the mess his predecessor left him. His apparel company had a ton of purchase orders that needed to be filled and shipped from China to the United States. Barry and I communicated several times daily within the 1st two weeks of our business relationship. We had to identify the best mode of transportation from China, based on price, transit time, and inventory levels. #logistics #apparel #china
